IBM & EDS for a DWP Project

We supplied a Systems Test Analyist to a project at the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), via contract initially to EDS and subsequently to IBM.
  • Project: Customer Management System (CMS): Initial release of a new system, followed by a second release with additional functionality. Front office, customer information gathering system for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).  Integration with legacy back office systems.
  • Technology: Client Server GUI based development.  Curam package application, adapted to DWP specification using Java and C++.
Role: System Test Analyst, responsible for:
  • Reviewing UML design artefacts (activity diagrams and use-cases, function specifications) to ensure sufficient detail had been included to enable Test Script to be developed. Rational Rose.

Barclays Bank

We supplied a Systems Analyst to Barclays Bank for an 18month contract to help integrate a new fincancial product into their existing legacy branch accounting systems.
  • Project: Integration of a new customer savings product into the existing branch accounting legacy systems.
  • Role: Systems analysis, functional specifications, system testing.
  • Technology: IBM COBOL II and COBOL 390, IMS and DB2 databases, QSAM files.
